It’s time to make Maya Albright famous in Minnesota. Albright is an R&D Engineer for General Mills by day, but her side hustle is professional protesting. She has a particular skill for paying her way into expensive conservative events where she disrupts the program, unfurls a banner and yells slogans about climate change or racism before being escorted out of the room by security. My first experience with Albright was at the 2025 Mining and Energy Expo at Mall of America sponsored by Better in Our Backyard. We met again at this year’s American Experiment Annual Dinner where she and three co-conspirators paid $250 a plate to disrupt a speech by Sen. Tim Sheehy. Sheehy, for his part, was unfazed and dressed down the protesters as they left the Hilton ballroom.
Last night, Maya Albright was at it again paying $200 to disrupt the Minnesota Republican Party’s Lincoln-Reagan Dinner in Eagan. She stood up and unfurled a banner that referenced the KKK, which was ironic, as the first black woman to lead a gubernatorial ticket in Minnesota was taking the stage. It’s unlikely Albright is actually buying these expensive tickets. I’m sure her organization Climate Defiance is footing the bill for her activism.
Climate Defiance is a national organization funded by radical environmentalists and Hollywood elites. Conservatives aren’t their only targets. In this video, Albright paid her way into an intimate fundraiser at a private home to confront Amy Klobuchar.
The goal is always the same: sneak in, wait for the right moment, confront the speaker, make your speech and capture it all on video. They are very clear about their goals. From climatedefiance.org:
WE DO NOT DO PETITIONS.
WE DO DIRECT ACTION.
WE WILL DEFEAT FOSSIL FUEL FASCISM.
WE WILL DEFY TRUMP.
THERE IS NO OTHER CHOICE.
Albright has not been shy about her work for Climate Defiance, appearing as their Minnesota spokesperson in a news article from Bring Me the News about a 2024 sit-in at Sen. Klobuchar’s office.
“We ask that she have the courage to speak the truth on climate science and defend Minnesotans’ right to a livable planet by calling for the cancellation of these permits,” Climate Defiance member Maya Albright said. “As one of the most powerful Democrats in the country, Senator Klobuchar must maximize her influence while we still have power.”
Does General Mills know about Albright’s activism? Do they support their employees disrupting events and fundraisers in Minnesota? According to her LinkedIn profile, Albright is working on product formulation for kids cereal. Maybe the next protest can be at her office at General Mills. Bring some Cheerios to throw!
