Since late March, more than three hundred (300) habeas corpus petitions have been filed in the federal district of Minnesota seeking the release of illegal aliens detained in ICE custody.

Those petitions represent a veritable united nations, representing five continents and more than three dozen individual countries.

For a few dozen petitions, the country of origin was not entered into the public files (or not yet). In a few instances, the nationality is truly an open question, such as in cases where the person was born in a foreign refugee camp.

As Eddie Cochran once sang,

I’m gonna take two weeks
Gonna have a fine vacation.
I’m gonna take my problem
To the United Nations
.
