In a fast developing story, award-winning entrepreneur Salman Ahmed Elmi, age 30, has been charged with eight (8) felony counts of Medicaid fraud in conjunction with a massive alleged sex trafficking ring in Hennepin County.

Elmi was the recipient of the 2021 Outstanding Refugee award given by the state Dept. of Human Services (DHS).
He received the award alongside Ayan Abukar, now a convicted fraud felon, and Feeding Our Future defendant No. 58.
