Another leaked audio recording links Minnesota’s Attorney General Keith Ellison to the Feeding Our Future (FOF) scandal. This much earlier recording (June 2021) raises more questions about Ellison’s public statements on the case and his office’s less-than-adequate representation of the state Department of Education (MDE) in an FOF-filed lawsuit.
Last week, American Experiment exclusively published a 55-minute audio recording, dated December 11, 2021, featuring AG Ellison meeting with a half-dozen or so individuals associated with the nonprofit Feeding Our Future (FOF). Feeding was the rogue nonprofit behind a $250 million theft from a taxpayer-funded program meant to feed children from low-income families.
That audio was recorded just 9 days before Ellison received several campaign donations from individuals linked to FOF. One month after that (January 20, 2022), FBI raids shut down the fraud and closed FOF.
To be clear, no one mentioned by name in this post has been accused of any wrongdoing in the Feeding Our Future case.
You may have seen this selfie taken by AG Ellison on November 2, 2021,

The man on the far left is Keith Ellison. The man on the far right is Abshir Omar, a consultant with Feeding Our Future. Both Ellison and Abshir Omar can be heard on the December 11, 2021, recording from Ellison’s office made five weeks after the above photo was taken.
Jeremiah Ellison, Keith’s son and a member of the Minneapolis city council, appears to Keith’s right, above.
American Experiment was sent the following 19-seond video.
The man standing on the left is Abshir Omar, the Feeding Our Future consultant. The man seated on the right is state Sen. Omar Fateh (DFL-62, Minneapolis). According to campaign finance records, Abshir Omar donated $1,000 to Sen. Fateh’s re-election campaign on November 20, 2021. In addition to Abshir’s, Sen. Fateh collected six other donations on that date.
It is alleged that the video above was shot on November 14, 2021. From the short video, it is not clear what subject is being discussed. The word “food” is mentioned by Abshir at the 11-second mark.
Below are the campaign donations accepted by the Ellisons (father and son) and Sen. Fateh from individuals linked to the Feeding Our Future scandal.

From the contributor list above, Abshir Omar is Donor “E.”
We were also sent a 54-second audio recording, allegedly recorded much earlier on June 22, 2021. From the audio, it sounds as if the recording is of a telephone call or a Zoom meeting.
We are told that the meeting included Abshir Omar, Sen. Fateh, state Sen. Nick Frentz (DFL-18, N. Mankato) and Attorney General Ellison. The only persons identified on the recording are the “attorney general” and “Sen. Frentz.”
The subject matter appears to be the ongoing state lawsuit between Feeding Our Future and the state Dept. of Education (“MDE”). The audio mentions (0:05) a contempt ruling filed against MDE, which occurred in June 2021. MDE was represented in the lawsuit by Ellison’s office.
At the 24-second mark, Ellison respond to a question by stating that he had heard of the FOF/MDE case “late this afternoon.” This contradicts Ellison’s statement on the later December 2021 audio tape that he was unaware of the lawsuit.
If the above information is correct, it again calls into question the crucial timeline of what Keith Ellison knew and when he knew it.
