In a late edition to today’s court calendar, Abdikadir Mohamud, Defendant No. 9 in the case, filed Guilty Plea No. 36 in the sprawling free-food scandal. He becomes the 41st conviction, overall in the case.
District Judge Nancy Brasel took the plea late this afternoon after adjourning for the week the ongoing courtroom trial of Aimee Bock and Salim Said, Defendant Nos. 1 and 3.
Mohamud, now aged 33, was to have gone on trial in mid-April with three other co-defendants. The U.S. Attorney issued a press release here.
