- Presidential Primary Date: March 5, 2024
- General Primary Election Day: Tuesday, August 13, 2024
Key Information
- Presidential Primary: This primary is for major parties only. Each party has a separate ballot, with candidates determined by party chairs. Note that the presidential primary is different from the general primary in August, which includes other offices.
- Voting Options: Voters can cast their vote at polling places on the day of the primary or opt for absentee voting, starting from June 28 through August 12, 2024.
- Voter Registration: Ensure you’re registered to vote by July 23 to expedite the process on Election Day. You can also register at the polling place.
- Privacy and Transparency: Your choice of party ballot is private, but the fact that you selected a specific party’s ballot will be recorded.
Additional Notes
- Precinct Caucuses: These will still occur alongside the primary elections for other party-related business.
