We are entering sentencing season in the Feeding Our Future fraud scandal. Only 22 have been handed down in the cases of the 69 defendants convicted, so far.
We have two scheduled for August 26, two scheduled for the 27th, and two more scheduled for September 3. Three more defendants are scheduled for sentencing the week after that.
Here’s how the next half dozen will slot in to the list to date,
Of the next six, four are members of Safari Restaurant group (defendant Nos. 5, 7, 9 and 13). One (No. 25) is a member of the S&S Catering group.
The sixth is Hussein Farah, founder of the New Vision Foundation nonprofit and a former Bush Fellow.
Five more sentencing hearings have been penciled in for later in the autumn.
