He’s in the federal lockup at the Sherburne County jail awaiting trial on a federal felony charge. From the Minnesota Star Tribune,

Restaurant owner in Lake Street raid spent weeks in ICE detention.

You will recall that raid from last month involving the seizure of 900 pounds of meth from a storage unit in Burnsville. That raid triggered a mini riot against ICE on Lake Street outside the restaurant in question, Las Cuatro Milpas.

It would appear that a literal translation of the restaurant name works out to “The four farm fields.” Or perhaps more specifically, corn fields.

Do not confuse this incident with the unrelated, riot-free seizure of a different 900-pound batch of meth this month.

A more recent paywall version of the Star Tribune story contains additional detail about Francisco.

According to court records and reporting by the Star Tribune, our Minnesota Man wears many different hats and answers to many different names. Among them:

  • Francisco Estrada-Deltaro
  • Francisco Estrada De Haro
  • Francisco Estrada de Haro
  • Hector Hernandez
  • Hector Hernandez Solis

For the purposes of clarity, we’ll call him “Francisco.” He appeared in federal court in downtown St. Paul this afternoon (Friday) to make his initial appearance, accused of one felony count of “re-entry of a removed alien.” He was last deported from America in February 2016, but he returned, which is a felony under federal law. He is reported to have previous deportations in 2010 and 2011. The feds record two earlier voluntary departures, in 1999 and 2009.

Francisco has a felony conviction in Ramsey County dating back to 2003. His record also includes the typical DWI’s, flights from arrest, probation violations, failures to appear, assault with a dangerous weapon (2022, another felony conviction).

His case is one of over 60 similar cases we’ve been following that have been filed in Minnesota since Pres. Trump returned to office on January 20.

Francisco is due back in federal court on July 23. For now he sits in the Sherburne County jail,

The Star Tribune reports that following the June 3 raid on his Lake Street restaurant, the Mexican-native Francisco was held in ICE custody in Freeborn County jail, as a thrice-previously deported alien.
